  • Recuperative Care is a short-term support program designed for individuals who are recovering from illness, injury, or surgery but do not have stable housing or a safe place to heal. This service bridges the gap between hospital discharge and full recovery, helping individuals regain health and stability. 

    At Adam’s Place, our Recuperative Care program provides a safe, supportive environment where healing and recovery can take place with dignity. 

  • Our Recuperative Services are ideal for: 

    • Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity after hospital discharge. 

    • Patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury who need extra support. 

    • People who require short-term care before transitioning back into permanent housing or independent living.

Admission Criteria

To qualify for admission, individuals must:

  • Be medically and psychiatrically stable.

  • Require temporary recuperative care and support.

  • Independently manage daily living activities or have minor assistance needs.

  • Self-administer medications.
    Be cleared from any infectious disease transmission-based precautions.

  • Be committed to engaging in the recovery and housing transition process.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Active substance use requiring detox services.

  • High-level medical or psychiatric needs that require hospitalization.

  • Individuals presenting a danger to themselves or others.
